In some ways no, but it's certainly better than going it alone. ![]() That's where you work with a teacher remotely, you record video (using your phone, an iPad, a video cam, whatever) of yourself playing and upload it for your teacher to critique. One thing that you might consider, instead of Skype lessons is video feedback lessons. In any case, there are many many resources available online, from method books you can purchase on amazon to Skype lessons. What skills do you want to learn? Reading music? improvisation? playing by ear? All of the above? What types, genres, and styles of music do you want to play? Classical? pop/rock?
